Mitzvah Challenge
#sparkJOI Mitzvah Challenge
The #sparkJOI Mitzvah Challenge is an initiative to jumpstart your family's Jewish engagement this year. This is an opportunity to bring Judaism alive in your home in a competitive and fun way for kids and parents alike! Perform a mitzvah, log it weekly and get entered into weekly raffles for some fantastic prizes. At the end of the challenge there will be a raffle for a Grand Prize.
To sponsor the JOI Mitzvah Challenge please contact Rabbi Lehrfield at mlehrfield@joidenver.com
Frequently asked questions
How long does the Challenge last? It begins the first day of the Hebrew month Elul (the month before Rosh Hashanah) and ends after the High Holidays are over.
How does it work? Each participant selects Mitzvos from the list, keeps track of each mitzvah performed by each family member, and logs the information each Sunday using the same email address they registered with. Each Monday there is a raffle for a prize; a grand prize is awarded at the end. To enter the grand prize you need to accumulate (and log) points every week.
Who is eligible? The Challenge is open to all Jews, everywhere. You can earn points for recruiting friends and family — each family you recruit entitles yours to 50 points. You can only log mitzvahs that you don't regularly do prior to the Challenge. We encourage families to do the Challenge together.
What can we win? Weekly prizes have included gift cards, Children's Museum passes and memberships, JOI Prime memberships, High Holiday tickets and Shabbat dinner for your family and up to 10 friends at the Lehrfields. Grand prizes have included a family weekend in Keystone.
